Discovered in January 2025, comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) became an interesting target in the second half of September, when it was visible in the last part of the night, shining at around magnitude 7 and sporting a tail at least 2 degrees in length.
As usual, comet brightness predictions are unreliable. However, some estimations say the comet could peak at magnitude 3 to 4 between late October and early November.
Below are three images I took from Valle d’Aosta (Italian Alps) on the last three days of September (28, 29 and 30) with a 10-inch GSO RC and a Touptek 2600 mono camera. Filters used: L only, RGB and LRGB. 90-s or 120-s subframes.
Stay tuned for more!
