Comet C/2025 K1 (ATLAS)’s further fragmentation

Following reports that comet C/2025 K1 (ATLAS) had broken up, I imaged it on 12 November 2025. In the following days, its fragmentation has continued, and now it shows three distinct fragments zipping alongside each other. My pictures below taken in the wee hours of 18 November 2025 clearly confirm this event.

The images are the result of the stacking of 40 5-s frames, taken from Valle d'Aosta (Italy) with a Touptek 2600M camera, and Optolong L filter through a 10-inch FSO RC f/5.6.
